Message: Small town atmosphere of people that genuinely love their job and it shows in the quality of the food and service. Absolutely love bringing the family here and the service is above expectations each time we come in. They actually take the time to get to know you and understand food allergies. Thank you!

Message: This was my first time there, even though I've lived in Chesapeake for over 25 years. I liked the simplicity of the restaurant and the servers were very attentive. I was accompanied by "Angie veterans. " My meal was good and I told my friends I would return in the future.

Message: Great food, great service, huge portions. We got spaghetti and meatballs and it was amazing. Top 3 spaghetti dinners I've ever had. Meatballs were soft and tasty. Loved everything, even the salads.

Message: For the last few months I've been having breakfast at Angie's most Sunday mornings before going to a class I've been taking. It pays to get there early, and by early I'd say before 10am. After that there's a line to get into the place.. Service is quick and you'll get your drink order taken when you're seated. That means bottomless coffee. I've always found the staff to be super attentive when it comes to coffee and they'll often refill my mug as soon as it's empty.. Angie's has a fairly basic breakfast menu with various egg combinations you put together yourself. Omelets, Corned Beef Hash, etc. Also they have a Specials board in the foyer as you're coming in. Always check the board has it has non-menu items on it. It's a chalk board so when they run out of something, for example: Biscuits and Gravy, they'll remove it from the board.. They're a well oiled machine in my experience. They get you in there, get you fed quickly and you're ready to move onto your day. Portions and prices are in harmony as well.. Pros: Fast. Delicious. Great service, Coffee! Cons: None.

Message: I have been coming to Angie's Family Restaurant for years. Their food has always been very good. I have eaten many of the items on their menu, and never been disappointed however today was different. I heard they are not taking reservations for groups any longer, and that's the way it is in most places these days. Today, when my party and I arrived, the atmosphere didn't seem the same, the servers were not as friendly and accommodating, but after all, I'm just looking for a good meal. I came for the spaghetti, which I've had many times at Angie's, but today was different, the spaghetti sauce has changed, and when I ask for extra sauce it didn't come. I had to ask for it again. The spaghetti was really dry it didn't taste like spaghetti sauce. Made me wonder if they've changed everything else too. It appeared that the servers were helping each other out, which is a good thing, but if you ever notice lately that when you order water at any restaurant, they never offer you a second glass? Angie's has always been a favorite of mine until today. Very disappointed in my visit! Maybe it comes with the times. Sad.

Message: Mom & Pop, family owned & operated. Love supporting local businesses. Food was great. Salads are huge & fresh. Burgers are also huge. The restaurant is too dark with minimal lighting available. Felt like we were in a basement. Needs to be updated. Would definitely go back. The prices were reasonable.

Message: Wow, We were pleased with our whole experience. We recommend this restaurant. The food was delicious. The service was well prepared. They even have handicapped services there. I had the fried catfish, and a baked potato dinner. My husband had the spaghetti and meatballs dinner. His 2 meatballs were huge. We had to bring one meatball home for he could not eat them both. We both had a house salad. The food was simply so good. The portions were perfect. We even shared a slice of homemade Lemon Meringue pie. We will be back again.
